Philip
Reisman emigrated from Warsaw Poland. He studied at the Art Student’s
League with George Bridgman, William Morgan and Harry Wickey. He was
a WPA mural artist at Bellevue Hospital. He was on the original board
of control and faculty for the American Artists School. He was a member
of the American Artists Congress, An American Group and the Artists
League of America. His work was included in exhibitions at Philadelphia
Academy of Fine Arts, Museum of Modern Art, National Print Exhibition
and the National Academy of Design. His work is in the collections
of the Metroplitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art and the
Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris.
