Clara Mahl studied at the Grand Central School of Art, the Art Student’s League and the National Academy of Design. She was a WPA artist in New York City from 1935 to 1942. Her work has been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Hudson Walker Gallery and the Julien Levy Gallery.
