Mervin Jules, a printmaker, graver and illustrator
studied at Baltimore City College, The Maryland Insitute of Art
and the Art Student’s League with Thomas Benton. His work has been
exhibited at many museums and galleries including the 1939 New York
World's Fair, 1939 Golden Gate Exposition, The Whitney Museum of
American Art, The Art Insitute of Chicago, The Museum of Modern
Art, Brooklyn Museum and The Baltimore Museum of Art. He taught
at the Museum of Modern Art from 1943-1946 and at Smith College
from 1946-1947. His work is in the collections of many museums
including The Walker Art Center, The Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn
Museum, The Baltimore Museum of Art, The Art Insitute of Chicago
and others.
