Hubert
Davis studied at the Pennsylvania School of Industrial Art and the
Art Student's League. He continued his studies in Paris at the Julien's
and the Academie Moderne with Fernand Leger. His illustration work
includes Crime and Punishment and Poe's tales. He was a contributor
to Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and American Spectator. His work
is in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Columbus
Museum of Fine Art, the Newark Public Library and the Museum of Modern
Art.
