LeRoy
Appleton attended school at night while working during the day. He
spent two years at the Art Student's League studying with George Bridgman.
He was freelance artist to Colgate and Co. His engravings are in the
print collection of Dartmouth College and his maps appeared regularly
in Fortune magazine. His clients included Sinclair Oil, General Motors
and the Limited Editions Club.
